April Birthstone Ring, Diamond

A handmade hammered silver band, gypsy set with a small faceted diamond. The April birthstone, the real thing.

Made to order. This design is shown with a loose stone, set here to give you a true sense of its colour. Yours will be made once you order, in the same gypsy setting, ready in two weeks and hallmarked at the London Assay Office.

The Diamond. Clarity, strength, permanence. Diamond is the hardest natural material on earth and has been worn for over two thousand years as a symbol of constancy. Most April birthstone rings on the market use white topaz as a diamond alternative. This one uses the real stone.

Specification Sterling silver band, hand hammered for a soft texture and gentle catch of light. Approximately 5mm wide, 1mm thick. Set with a faceted natural Diamond, approximately 3mm. Stones are individually selected and may vary in tone.

Sizing Each ring is made to your size. Please leave your UK ring size at checkout, or message me if you forget. If you are unsure, take a ring you already wear comfortably to a high street jeweller. Most will measure it for free in a couple of minutes. You can also order a plastic ring sizer online.

Hallmarking Hallmarked at the London Assay Office, the oldest assay office in the UK. The leopard's head mark has been struck on London silver since 1300. Even where the weight falls below the legal hallmarking threshold, I send these pieces for assay because the mark is part of what I want every customer to receive.

Made by hand in England Each ring is made one at a time in my studio in England. No two are identical. The hammered surface picks up its own pattern of marks as it is worked, so yours will be uniquely yours.

Care Wear it. Sterling silver develops a soft patina over time which only adds to the character. A polishing cloth restores the shine in seconds. Avoid chlorinated water and harsh cleaning products.

Gift wrapping Every ring arrives in a small recycled gift box with tissue and a hand tied sleeve, ready to give. Add a note at checkout if you would like a message included.
