The bespoke service enables you to be part of the personal process of creating a unique Virginia Allan Piece.

The result is a completely one-of-a-kind treasure, with its own special story and meaning.

This option is the perfect choice for you if you love our signature style but have some ideas and elements you are keen to incorporate, and are comfortable embracing the organic nature of our creation process to produce a truly personal piece.

We'll guide you step-by-step through the entire process, ensuring your final piece perfectly captures your vision for your dream piece. 

Tailored Customisations

If you love one of our existing designs but wish it had a different gemstone or came in a different precious metal, I can create it for you.

You can commission pieces in yellow, white or rose gold, or silver, with your choice of preferred gemstone.

Customising designs is a great way to personalise a jewel without the bespoke price tag, I'll work closely with you to fulfil your vision and bring your ideas to life.

Resetting your Heirloom

HEIRLOOM RESETTING 

I also transform sentimental heirloom jewellery and family keepsakes, reimagining them into our contemporary creations. This adds to the rich stories of your heirlooms, enabling your pieces to be enjoyed in a style that better resonates with you.

Reparing your Jewellery

I can restring beads and pearls, re-tip claws, solder broken chains, resize rings, replace clasps, and refinish scratched or dull surfaces. If you're not sure whether something is repairable, ask — I'll tell you honestly.

Repair prices start at £25. I'll give you a firm quote before any work begins.

Upcycling

Old gold or silver jewellery can be melted down and remade into something new. If you have pieces that belonged to someone else, or things you bought and never wore, this is a way to keep the material and start again with the design.

Upcycling is treated as a bespoke commission and prices start at £250 and depend on what's being made and how much metal you're supplying.

After an initial call, I'll refine the details of the commission and provide you with a quote over email.

I make each piece entirely by hand in my Hastings Studio.

A note on liability

I take every care with work entrusted to me, but I cannot accept liability for pre-existing weaknesses or damage in pieces brought to me for repair. I will always flag anything I notice before work begins.
