The Hook

I am making this now. The Hook is a solid silver fish hook. The cord is black paracord. You set it to your own wrist with a cinch knot. It comes with a second colour of your choice.

Most hook bracelets are cast in volume and plated to pass as silver. This is not that. The metal is solid through to the core. What you see is what it is made from.

The silver is cast, then sent to the London Assay Office to be hallmarked, then finished at my bench. That takes three to four weeks. I would rather tell you that than rush it.

The first run is 20 pieces at £160 each. Each one comes with a length of spare cord and a second colour of your choice.

How to tie it

The cinch knot. The most reliable knot in fishing. Five turns and it holds all day.

1. Pass the cord through the silver ring. Leave yourself a good length of tail to work with.

2. Wind the tail around the long end five times, working away from the ring.

3. Pass the tail back through the small loop closest to the ring, then through the large loop you just made.

4. Pull the long end and the ring apart. The knot cinches down tight. Trim the tail close and seal with a lighter.

The bracelet comes with a spare length of cord and a second colour. When you want to change it, cut the knot, thread the new cord through the ring, and tie again.
